Michael Topol

Michael is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of MGT insurance, a technology-forward commercial property and casualty insurance carrier. Prior to MGT Insurance, Michael helped build Collective Health, a $1.5bn+ insurance technology business backed by Google Ventures, NEA, Founders Fund, SunLife Financial, and SoftBank. Michael helped build the product development organization, operations organization, the sales team, the business operations team, and built and led the finance team. He helped them scale from 30 to 500+ employees and raise $200mm+ in capital.

Prior to Collective Health, Michael worked at Morgan Stanley in Global Power & Utilities (“GPUG”) Investment Banking focusing on M&A, debt, and equity transactions.

Michael earned a BA in economics & mathematics from Columbia, a JD from Columbia Law (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar), and an MBA from Stanford GSB.
