Roy is the Managing Partner of NextSummit Capital Partners. Roy’s background in Investment Banking, Private Equity & Venture Capital investments with one of the largest Sovereign Wealth Funds in the world, combined with his previous operational and managerial experience as an entrepreneur position him well to successfully lead and run a company. Roy is enthusiastic to acquire a well-established company, drive organizational change, and create value for all stakeholders around the target firm.

Roy has worked in financial services through his career across New York, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Riyadh. Most recently, Roy served as AVP in International Investments with Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund – the Public Investment Fund (PIF), where he helped execute multiple landmark transactions the Fund had invested in. As part of his tenure, Roy also spent a considerable amount of time working on SoftBank Vision Fund – the $100Bn partnership between Japan’s SoftBank Group and the PIF, widely regarded as “the largest VC Fund in the world”.

Prior to the investor role, Roy worked in Investment Banking specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he participated in various types of M&A transactions both domestic and cross-border, and as an Equity Research Analyst with Credit Suisse, where he became the youngest coverage writing analyst in the local market and the firm’s history. Earlier in his career, Roy had also worked with Ernst & Young (EY) as a Consultant specializing in M&A advisory and Goldman Sachs as Summer Analyst, and participated in McKinsey’s EDAD program with its Middle East office. Entrepreneurial in spirit, Roy co-founded his first company in the Media & Entertainment space during college, and later sold his stake to a larger corporation through a strategic exit.

Roy received his MBA/MA dual-degrees from the Wharton Business School and the Lauder Institute at University of Pennsylvania, and B.A. (Hons) from Middlebury College. Roy has been a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter-holder since 2017.

In his spare time, Roy enjoys traveling, playing musical instruments such as Saxophone (Jazz) and Piano (classical), as well as taking part in various sports such as skiing, tennis, sailing, to name a few.
